A large southern Indian bronze temple bowl also called Urli Bowls. These bowls were used in the temples during festivals and for weddings for cooking for large numbers. They were lifed into the hot coals of the fire with ropes that went through the side handles. It is in lovely original condition. Circa 1860. The bronze has a lovely all over patina. It woould make a lovely garden feature as a planter or water feature like a small pond.
